How fun! I love the fall-themed colors, too.
I afghan stitched a scarf once from raw wool — didn’t spin it beforehand, and gave it just the slightest twist as I crocheted. It was the warmest thing I ever had, but not as colorful as these! Beautiful work!
That potholder looks like the perfect hostess gift for Thanksgiving dinner. The fall colors are perfect for the occasion and when wrapped with the ribbon, it looks like a sophisticated little present. Love it!
I was so in love with your Christmas potholder, but now I think I like this one better! I love the shades in the yarn. Just the right touch of brown and an orange that is not too brash!
Just what I need, ANOTHER hobby. This yarn is scrumptious. Makes me want to finish the afghan I started 15 years ago…
I love this site becasue there is so much I can learn . I haven’t heard of Tunisian crochet before . it sound like the perfect blend of yarn craft. I really like the closed knit appearance of the finished product.
Thanks for all the lovely comments, everyone.
Beth, your scarf sounds beautiful!
Jennifer, hope you get your afghan finished someday…:) Imagine the satisfaction you’d feel.
Don’t worry, you’re in good company. I imagine most needleworkers have one or more UFOs floating around – is there anyone who doesn’t?
Connie, the potholder pictured in this post works up faster than the Christmas one you saw a couple Wednesdays back. It’s a bit easier, too – no color changes.
I just found one of my afghan hooks, I think I might be trying this tomorrow. I’ve done Tunisian before, but havent liked it much, but I think I’ll give it a second chance, maybe I’ll actually get something made with Tunisian.
