Crocheters are a diverse group of people. We come from all over the world. Some of us are children; some of us are adults; some of us are kids-at-heart. Some of us are male, and some are female. Some of us are rich, and some of us are poor; many of us are somewhere in between. Some of us are total beginners, and some of us are experts.
There's really no such thing as "the average crocheter." We defy the concept of averages. No matter who you are, you'd fit in with us, and we'd welcome you.
Having said that, we do have a few things in common -- for example, I feel safe in saying that we all know how to count. ;) (Although it's also worth noting that some of us don't like to and / or don't bother with it. :) )
Which is to say that, if you're looking for a hobby with few barriers to entry, this is it -- you've found one.
Maybe you're wondering if crochet is the right hobby for you. This brief checklist of considerations will help you get a better understanding of what skills and characteristics would be helpful for you to have if you are interested in learning to crochet.
