Several of my potholder designs were originally crocheted with yarn colors that have now been discontinued. To hopefully minimize annoyance and frustration on your part, I've been working on crocheting new project samples in yarns that are currently available -- and then updating the patterns accordingly.
In the potholder you see pictured, I used Knitpicks Simply Cotton yarns instead of the yarns that I originally chose. I really like the way it turned out, even better than I liked the original.
I'm finding that Knitpicks Simply Cotton worsted yarn has a great color range, and I'm loving how soft and easy to work with it is. It isn't specifically a kitchen cotton; it could easily be used for garments or wearables, and I think even a "yarn snob" would approve of this yarn. It has held up well in the projects I've made with it, despite some heavy use and abuse. When I reviewed the yarn, I gave it five stars, that's how much I love it.

I've posted some large pictures of the snowflakes and potholders, in case you'd like to take a closer look at any of the details. The photo gallery includes pictures of the original colorway too. Of course, if you still have some of the original Peaches & Creme yarn hanging around in your yarn stash, this is a great way to use a little of it up.
