When new crocheters drop by a crochet forum, they might get a little confused by some of the unfamiliar terms that get tossed around. It occurs to me that even an experienced crocheter who's new to the Internet might get confused by some of the jargon.
That's one of the main reasons I make a crochet glossary available. The glossary includes sections for crochet abbreviations, crochet terms, and acronyms.

These are terms I see used frequently both in crochet patterns and on the Internet, and if you don't already know what they mean, you now have an easy way to find out.
As of right now, my glossary is smaller than I'd like it to be; I plan to add to it in order to make it as helpful a resource as possible. If you can think of any unfamiliar crochet terms or other crochet jargon you'd like to see defined in the glossary, please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments area below. What does it mean when a pattern says, “work even”? Exp: Continue in this patten until there are 22 st between 2 sc (or the diameter measures 10 inches). Work even for 4 rows.
