New Crochet Stitch Instructions:
I just added some new instructions to our photo gallery of crochet stitches. The new addition is a lacy, textured crochet stitch pattern I've called "puff lace with half double crochet v stitches." This stitch pattern is a combination of puff stitches and shorter-than-usual v-stitches that are based on the half double crochet stitch instead of the usual double crochet. (You can see the usual v-stitches here if you'd like to have a basis for comparison.)
This pattern is made using the puff lace stitch linked above.
I have several other projects in the works using this stitch, so if you like it, please be sure to check back soon to see what's new.
I updated several of our free pattern lists to include this new faux knit headband pattern. This project is part of our headband pattern collection, and it's also an ear warmer. Since it's made with the Tunisian knit stitch, which is a Tunisian crochet stitch, it also fits right in on our list of free Tunisian crochet patterns.
There is a close-up photo of this stitch pattern posted on our website if you would like to see this stitch in more detail.
I also added two new photo collages of this design to our picture gallery of headband patterns.
Why would anyone bother to spend the money on organic yarn? Well, the truth is, now that I've researched this a little, I'm surprised and horrified that anyone wouldn't spend the money to buy it, considering the alternatives.
Photo Collage Featuring the Fall Colorway of Red Heart Super Saver Yarn
I added a new photo collage to our picture gallery of crochet projects that were made using variegated yarn. The new page features photos of Red Heart Super Saver in the colorway named "Fall," which is timely right now, at least for many of the readers of this website.
The page also includes photos of our simple beanie and scarf set, plus links to the free patterns for crocheting these projects.
What Is an Intermediate-Level Crochet Pattern?
I've been working on some pages to help clarify what the various skill level ratings on our website mean. This is in hopes that any newcomers to our site will be able to get a good idea of what to expect from any given pattern on our site, before committing to work on the pattern(s).
For example, "Intermediate" is kind of a subjective term. It could mean anything! So this brand new page clarifies our definition of what an intermediate-level crochet pattern is.
