This project combines quite a few of my favorite things -- colorful fabric, crochet, and sparkly glass pendants. I'm excited to share it with you! I've posted the free pattern and tutorial for making this necklace, plus another similar one, here on our website.
Have you ever tried rag crochet before? If so, these are going to be a piece o' cake for you. If not, and you'd like to give it a try, a necklace like this would be the perfect starter project. If you're gonna love the technique, great. But if you're gonna hate it, better to discover it on a quick project like this one rather than a project you'll spend a ton of time on, like a rag rug or something. If you like this idea, I hope you'll give the pattern a try.
Some of you might remember my beaded crochet necklace with dichroic glass pendant; while I'm on the topic of necklaces, I thought I'd mention that one too in case you haven't already seen it. It's been posted on our website for awhile, but I often get new emails about it -- people have told me that they love the pattern, and get compliments every time they wear their necklaces. It's one of my favorite patterns to use when I need a quick gift for a lady on my gift list.
