Kathryn Vercillo has been a blogger/author for more than a decade, writing across a diverse range of topics. She has been writing about crochet since 2011. At that time, she launched her crochet blog, Crochet Concupiscence. At its peak, it received more than 600,000 unique monthly page views. Kathryn successfully sold this blog in fall 2017. In its place, she publishes a subscription-based crochet newsletter through Patreon.

Kathryn's education in social work and the mental health field have contributed greatly to her understanding of how crochet can help people to heal. She has an AAS in Social Work with Youth Emphasis from Pima Community College, a BAS in Public Agency Service with Community Service Emphasis from Northern Arizona University and a Master's degree in Psychological Studies from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
