Small Graph of a USA Flag Emblem, For Filet Crochet or Cross-Stitch
Adaptable for Knitting, Needlepoint or Beadwork

This chart is the same finished size as the small chart of an eagle, the letters USA and of the liberty bell chart, so that they may be combined within a project.

I recharted from the original which was printed in Corticelli Lessons in Crochet, No. 9, published in the year 1920. -- Sandi Marshall

Filet Crochet Help:

Working the Chart in Filet Crochet
Starting Chain: For a 4 dc mesh, starting chain is 79, plus chain 3, (which will count as first dc of first row). Begin by working a double crochet in the 5th chain from the hook.

Follow chart for placement of solid mesh and open mesh for each row. For a refresher on how to do filet crochet, see Basics link below.

Chart is worked starting at the bottom right; work first row right to left. Second row is worked left to right. Continue alternating row directions in this same manner, following chart.
