4 DC Shell Stitch Photo Example
To make a 4 dc shell: Work four double crochet stitches all in one place.
Instructions for the easy 4 DC Shell pattern shown above:
(Abbreviations: dc = double crochet, st = stitch, sts = stitches)
Work a foundation row in stitch of your choice (such as single crochet or double crochet).
Pattern Row: Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet), 1 dc in same st, * skip 2 sts, 4 dc in next st; repeat from * across, ending with 2 dc in last st.
