Doll Blanket, Sized for 18 Inch Dolls
|
![]() |
This pattern contains photos illustrating how to do the stitches, along with extra explanation for beginning crocheters. |
|
6 ounces worsted weight yarn, any color
Size G crochet hook
Finished size 18 1/2 inches x 18 1/2 inches
Gauge1 V-Stitch plus 1 double crochet = 1 inch
2 double crochet rows = 1 inch
To start:
Leave about a six inch length of yarn before the first loop of
your starting chain. Leave this length hanging while you are
crocheting the blanket. You will weave this length in when
the blanket is finished. (This is a good way to secure the end so it
won't unravel.)
This link will take you to step-by-step photos for How to Make a Starting Chain.
Starting chain chain 70.
Row 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook, single crochet in
each chain across. (69 single crochet)
This next photo shows you how to do the V-stitch that you will be crocheting in row 2.

In row 2, it says to skip next single crochet; this illustrates skipping a stitch:
