Knot Stitch Flower Sachet Free Pattern, 1917

Example was made with two colors: white and a shade of pink. Substitute your own color combination or make it all in one color.

Abbreviations:
ch. = chain
d. c. = double crochet
kn. st., kn. sts. = knot stitch, knot stitches
Note: We don't use a period after each part of an abbreviation these days but pattern books often did in 1917. I left the directions as they were, 1917 style. Referring to the photo will help in making the sachet and there's a link below to my step-by-step knot stitch how-to.

1st row - With pink; ch. 36, join with slip stitch, 1 s. c. in each ch., having 36 s. c.
2nd row - 1 s. c. in each s. c. of previous row.

7th row - With white, same as 2nd row.
8th row - 9 knot st. loops. (Knot stitch made as follows:) Draw up a long loop, thread over, and draw through loop, thus making a chain. Insert the hook into the space between the single and double threads of the long loop, and draw a loop through, thread over and draw through the two loops on hook to form the first knot.
