Squares in photos crocheted by Sandi Marshall, from the pattern in the book Afghan Inspirations

To adjust this to be a 6 inch square:

The book calls for 2-ply baby yarn with a size F hook. I used worsted weight yarn and a size G hook, working the pattern as follows:

Rnds 1 - 6: As per their pattern directions.
My own adjustments:
(Skip Rnd 7)
Rnd 8: Work a round of sc, with (2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc) in each corner space.

Note: The pattern from the book is not given here because this is a copyrighted pattern in a book still under copyright, meaning that it would be illegal to distribute reproduced copies of the pattern itself in any manner. We do want this publisher to continue publishing crochet patterns. What I give you here are directions for my own adjustments for using the pattern in the Afghan Inspirations book to adjust to a 6 inch square. This is a popular book that some of you may already own; it is certainly a book worth purchasing if you are so inclined.
