To adjust this to be a 6 inch square:

The pattern calls for a size H hook. I used a size G hook with worsted weight yarn. Make color changes as desired, not necessarily following the indicated color scheme.
Rnds 1 - 7: Work as per their pattern instructions.
My own adjustments:
Rnd 8: Add one more round of sc, as in rnd 7.

Note: The pattern is not given here because this is a copyrighted pattern in a book still under copyright, meaning that it would be illegal to distribute reproduced copies of the pattern itself in any manner. We do want this publisher to continue publishing crochet patterns. What I give you here are directions for my own adjustments for using the pattern in the Afghan Inspirations book to adjust to a 6 inch square. This is a popular book that some of you may already own; it is certainly a book worth purchasing if you are so inclined.
