Snowflake Lace Design Free Chart
by Sandi Marshall, For Filet Crochet or Cross-stitch

|
As you know, real snowflakes come in unending variety because no two are ever exactly alike. In creating this chart, I wanted to create something resembling a snowflake ... I started with a few straight lines that I drew out from the center, then just kept adding to it a little at a time from my own imagination, just to see what I would end up with. I had added to it randomly, with no exact plan or finished shape in mind, so the result is unique. When I finished, I felt that it resembled lace, so I gave it the name "Snowflake Lace".
The example shows this design in filet crochet. You could also use this same chart to cross-stitch this design in solid color silhouette on a single crochet or afghan stitch background.
