Learn The Crazy Stitch

Did you know that, in the year 1899, crocheters were already enjoying making items with the crazy shell stitch? This fun stitch is still popular today. When you give it a try, I think you'll see why!

I've put together a photo how-to with the instructions to make it easy to learn the stitch and have given the 1899 and 1917 directions also, in case you're curious about the way the directions were written in those days.

Here's an example of the crazy stitch crocheted in two colors. Ready to give it a try?
