Joining the pieces:
Place front piece (right side up) centered on top of back piece. Using same color as
front piece, attach yarn to any stitch in edge of back piece. Turn front piece so one of
the points is lined up with the stitch where you just attached the yarn. Crocheting through
both thicknesses to join the two pieces, work a single crochet in the center stitch of the point on the front piece and, at the same time,
in the stitch where yarn was attached.
Now, crocheting in the back piece only,[ (sc
in the next 6 dc, 2 sc in the next dc) twice, for next stitch: sc through both thicknesses of next point of front piece and next sc of back piece ]; repeat
[ to ] 3 times. * crocheting in back piece only: sc in next 5 dc, 2 sc in next dc; sc in next 6 dc, 2 sc in next dc; for next stitch: sc through both thicknesses
of next point of front piece and next sc of back piece * Repeat [ to ] once, repeat * to * once.
