I charted this design in the form of two charts so that you could follow Chart 1 to crochet the colors in for the basic background color shapes (so that you would be working with no more than two colors in any row), then follow the second chart to add the other details in cross stitch (doing the cross stitch with yarn of the same weight as your crocheted background). Of course, you can always crochet all the colors in from Chart 2, if you enjoy working with multiple color changes within a row.
