Materials
Worsted Weight Yarn: 1 1/2 oz. medium brown
4 small sew-on snaps
Size G crochet hookDirections
Note: At end of each row, you will chain 1 to turn.
This piece is used for both the Back (make 2) and the Left Side Front (Make 1)
With brown, ch 14.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea ch across. (13 sc)
Rows 2 - 13: sc in ea sc across.
Row 14: sc in ea sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc. (14 sc)
Row 15: 2 sc in first sc, sc in ea sc across. (15 sc)
Rows 16 - 19: (Repeat rows 14 and 15) twice. (19 sc at end of row 19)
Rows 20 - 31: sc in ea sc across. (19 sc)
End off.
Right Side Front
With brown, ch 17.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea ch across. (16 sc)
Rows 2 - 8: sc in ea sc across.
Row 9: sc in ea sc across to last 2 sc, sc last 2 sc tog for decrease. (15 sc)
Row 10: sc first 2 sc tog, sc in ea sc across. (14 sc)
Row 11: Repeat row 9. (13 sc)
Rows 12, 13: sc in ea sc across. (13 sc)
Row 14: 2 sc in first sc, sc in ea sc across. (14 sc)
Row 15: sc in ea sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc. (15 sc)
Rows 16 - 19: (Repeat rows 14 and 15) twice. (19 sc at end of row 19)
Rows 20 - 31: sc in ea sc across. (19 sc)
End off.Sewing Together
Hold left side front and right side front pieces together,
matching curved edges. Pin in place, if desired, to hold in
place while stitching. With yarn and with large-eye yarn
needle, stitch edges of curved seam together from row 12
through row 19. Refer to diagram below.![]()
Hold two back pieces together, matching curved edges.
Pin in place, if desired, to hold in place while stitching.
With yarn and with large-eye yarn needle, stitch edges of
curved seam together from row 1 through row 19.

Open both trousers pieces. With right sides together, place
the front over the back, matching outside straight seam edges.
With yarn and with large-eye yarn needle, stitch outside
straight seam edges of front piece and of back piece together
on each side edge, from row 1 through row 31.With yarn and with large-eye yarn needle, stitch leg inseam of
front piece and of back piece together from row 31 edge to row 20,
continuing along seam of other leg from row 20 to row 31 edge.
Turn trousers right side out.
With the flap on right side front tucked under the left side front
