Crocheted Diamond Squares

The design you see here can be used in many different ways. I created it with the intention of using it in this custom crochet afghan.

The diamond square is part of my series of mix and match afghan squares. I designed many other coordinating squares that work out to be the same size, shape and gauge when crocheted using the same yarns. These squares are made using the tapestry crochet technique.

As an afterthought, I also tried crocheting this design using filet crochet. The results of that experiment are lovely, and they give you another option for using this design.
