On the photo above, the crocheted piece shows row 4 - row 9 of the chart crocheted. The wrong side of the piece is facing while crocheting row 9, which is why the deer is facing the opposite way from the chart in that photo. I crocheted this chart design in a filet crochet 3-dc mesh, because that allows the finished piece to be more square (closer to the look of the chart) than a 4-dc mesh would.
