Shorter Capelet In Shades Of Blue Worn As An Overskirt

The photo above shows the Sandi Marshall Capelet in shades of blue, crocheted in a shorter version and worn as an overskirt. Here it is worn over a denim skirt. It could also be a great fashion look worn over blue jeans or leggings.

For the capelet length and style shown above, follow the pattern directions through row 6, then repeat row 6 (6) more times. In the example above, I didn't add the Last Row directions and didn't add any edging. I stopped after crocheting 6 repeats of row 6. When finished, I pulled downward on the edge (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) shells to stretch that part a bit.

The yarn that I used in the example is Mainstays regular worsted weight, color 2182 Blue Ridge (Mainstays is a Wal-Mart brand). I used about 3 oz. for this version. I used a US size G hook since I was using a regular worsted weight for this version (I crocheted the other examples with a light worsted weight yarn).

You can use a pin as a fastener for the capelet.
