At end of Row 17, end off color A. Attach color B in end sc of row 17.
Repeat Rows 1 - 17 with color B.
Continue to make color sections in this same manner until you have the length you want for your scarf. In the example shown, I used 7 color sections, for a length of 46 inches (before fringe is added). Each color section (made with rows 1 - 17) is about 6 1/2 inches long.

When finished, work an outside round in single crochet, with color A.
Used In Outside Round: How To SC Around DC Post
Outside Round: (working down the side), ch 1 to start, sc in edge of each sc row and work 2 sc around post of the end dc of ea dc row along the side, then for corner: (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner, sc in ea sc across end, then work other side in same manner as first side.
