Here's a closer look at the stitches in the Shells and Waves design.

It always helps to have a closer look at the stitches that are part of a pattern design. This page shows a photo with a closeup of the stitches used in crocheting the Shells and Waves Scarf pattern. The photo shows one of the edges with the two double crochet worked in the first stitch on each row and a closer look at some of the stitches in the two repeat rows (rows 3 and 4).

Finishing Round: (Optional) If you wish, work a round of single crochet all around the scarf, with 2 sc around the post of each edge dc along each long side and with an sc in ea stitch along each short end as you go around.
