When you have the length that you wish for your scarf, you may wish to finish the scarf by crocheting a round of single crochet around all outside edges by crocheting 2 single crochet around the post of each double crochet at the edge of each row along the sides, work (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner as you come to it and work 1 single crochet in each stitch along the top and bottom ends. Add fringe to the ends, if desired (optional).
