Row 2 Of Lacy Pattern Close-up Photo With Stitches Marked

The close-up photo above shows the stitches used in crocheting row 2 of the Lacy Pattern. The photo has stitches marked to show each step in crocheting this row, making it easier for beginners to learn how to crochet this type of pattern.

Hint: If you find that the number of stitches in the row isn't coming out right for you after you have crocheted the pattern repeat across the row, check to see if you are accidentally missing counting the single crochet that is right after the (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) shell. That single crochet is not as easy to spot with the wideness of the shell and it can be easy to start counting with the second sc after the shell when counting the 3 sc to skip (resulting in actually skipping 4 sc after the shell instead of 3).
