After the round of Loops Preparing For Join-As-You-Go on the first square, following are the instructions for the joining of the next square.
For the second square, first crochet the V-Stitch First Round, then continue with the following:
Loops Round For Join As You Go, Second Square - Follow the directions for the first square, except when you are at the side that will be joined to the first square, after making the sc in the ch-3 corner loop, ch 2, sl st in the ch-4 loop on the first square that lines up opposite this spot of the current square, then ch 2, sc in next dc on current square, * ch 2, sl st in next ch-4 loop on first square, ch 2, sc in the next ch-1 sp (in center of v-st) on the current square **, repeat the directions between * and ** until you have worked an sc in the center of the last v-stitch on this side, then ch 2, sl st in next ch-4 loop on first square, ch 2, sc in next dc on current square, ch 2, sc in next ch-4 corner loop on first square.
Loops Round For Join As You Go, Additional Squares - Same as for the second square, except that you will be using the joining method on two sides, as you will be joining the square currently being joined to two separate squares (on one side of each of the two squares).
