This is a tutorial for assembling the Granny Square Baby Bonnet.

Once you have completed 4 granny squares from the bonnet pattern you will need to arrange and sew them together. Lay 3 squares side by side in a horizontal line (see squares “A”, “B”, and “C” in photo 1). Sew adjacent edges of these squares together. Place a 4th square (“D”) above the center square (“B”) and sew in place. Your piece should now resemble the shape shown above in photo 1.

Fold square “C” inward so the top edge meets the side edge of “D.” Repeat with square “A.” Your piece should now resemble a bonnet in shape. (See photo 2.)

Attach yarn to one corner of the bonnet to work the shell edging. (See photo 3.)

Once edging is completed, attach yarn to the corner once more to work the bonnet’s ties. (See photo 4.)

Fasten off yarn and weave in all ends.
