Instructions for embellishing the front portion of the headband with a woven chain design:

With Color B, crochet a chain about 9 inches long, leaving a length of yarn on each end for securing the ends and weaving in, when finished adding the chain to the headband. Refer to photo for help with placement when weaving the chain.
Written Directions For Weaving Chain: From the back of the headband, push the chain through to the front, through the center hole of the granny square on the left. Pull the chain through until there is only about 1/2 inch left on the back.
Note: When counting the holes across, count from left to right.
Pull the chain (from the front to the back) through the 2nd hole of the bottom row of holes in the granny square on the left.
Next, pull the chain (from the back to the front) through the 2nd hole on top row of holes in granny square on the left.
Next, pull the chain (from the front to the back) through the 3rd hole in the bottom row of holes on the granny squares.
Next, pull the chain (from the back to the front) through the 4th hole in the bottom row of holes.
Next, pull the chain (from the front to the back) through the 5th hole in the top row of holes.
Next, pull the chain (from the back to the front) through the center hole of the granny square on the right.
Next, pull the chain (from the front to the back) through the 5th hole in the bottom row of holes. Secure the chain ends on the back. Weave in yarn ends.
