The Snowflake Cloche is casual yet stylish and will easily take you through the Winter season. Make the cloche more versatile by sewing the snowflake to a pin instead of directly on the hat. Doing this will allow you to wear the hat from Fall until Spring.

Skill Level: Easy+

Materials
Yarn:
Cascade 220 [100% wool; 220 yards; 100 grams; worsted weight]
Main Color: “Navy”
Coordinating Color: “White”

If you wish to make substitutions choose a worsted weight yarn.

Crochet Hook:
US size G (4.5mm) hook,
US size H (5mm) hook.
Adjust hook size to achieve gauge listed below.

Gauge:
8 sc and 9 rnds = 2” using a size G (4.5mm) hook.
7 hdc and 5 rnds = 2” using size H (5mm) hook.
Stitch gauge is more important than round gauge for this design.

Finished Sizes:
18 (19.5, 21)”

To Fit:
Teen/Adult Small (Adult Medium, Adult Large) -- Shown in Adult Medium on model with a 20.5” head circumference.

Extras:
Tapestry needle
Pin (optional, for snowflake)

If the brim of your hat ripples too much you may try ironing or steaming it to relax the stitches. Make sure to read the care directions on your yarn label before doing this. Ironing isn’t recommended for all yarn fibers.
