I had the idea of adding cross-stitch to the single crochet parts of the Dotted Blocks Open Top Hat. The photo above shows the cross-stitch pattern that I came up with for this hat. I used a large-eye needle and a strand of yarn of the same weight that I had used to crochet the hat.
