I had the idea of adding cross-stitch to the single crochet parts of the Dotted Blocks Open Top Hat. The photo above shows the cross-stitch pattern that I came up with for this hat. If you would like to add this cross-stitch to your hat, you can figure out the path for the cross-stitches by viewing the photo above, along with the Zoom-In Photo.
I used a large-eye needle and a strand of yarn of the same weight that I had used to crochet the hat.
