Help Photo for the Long Stitch - Photo shows how the hook had been inserted through the ch-1 space that is 3 stitches back in the row below, then the yarn was looped over the hook and a long loop was drawn up that reaches over to the next sc to be worked in the current row. It might sound difficult but taking a close look at the stitches on that photo can help to clearly see how it is done (it's not so difficult after all).
