I've written two sets of directions for round 16. The first is a basic single crochet round to finish the motif, if you do not want to join the motifs in a join-as-you-go method but want to use a method of sewing the motifs together or joining the motifs using a crocheted slip stitch. The second set of directions is a round of loops that prepares the motif for using a method of joining the motifs as you go along. Choose one of the two Rnd 16 directions. If you want to use join-as-you-go, skip the first set of Rnd 16 directions and use the next Rnd 16 directions.

Rnd 16 (If You Don't Want Join-As-You-Go): sc in same place as sl st just made, sc in ea of next 12 dc, * (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-2 corner sp, sc in ea of next 13 dc, sc in ch-2 sp, sc in top of puff st, sc in ch-2 sp, sc in ea of next 13 dc **, repeat the directions between * and ** 4 more times, then (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-2 corner sp, sc in ea of next 13 dc, sc in ch-2 sp, sc in top of puff st, sc in ch-2 sp, sl st in first sc of this round. End off. Weave in ends. Skip next Rnd 16 directions. Motif is finished.

Rnd 16 For First Motif For Join-As-You-Go: This round prepares the motif for using a join-as-you-go method when joining additional motifs. This round is shown on the outside edge of the pink motif in the photo. Directions: ch 1, sc in same place as sl st just made in the top ch of the beginning ch of previous round, (ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc) 6 times, * then (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-2 sp for corner, sc in next dc, (ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc) 6 times, then sc in ch-2 sp before puff st, ch 3, skip puff st, sc in ch-2 sp after puff st, sc in next dc, (ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc) 6 times **, repeat the directions between * and ** 4 more times, then (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-2 sp for corner, sc in next dc, (ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc) 6 times, then sc in ch-2 sp before puff st, ch 3, skip puff st, sc in ch-2 sp after puff st, sl st in first sc of this round.
End off, leaving a strand for weaving in. Weave in the ends, to secure.

See directions on joining crocheted pieces, with a join-as-you-go method, using this type of loops rounds.
