Outside Round: sc in end of ea row along side, 3 sc at corner, sc in remaining loop of ea sc along bottom edge, 3 sc at corner, sc in end of ea of 5 rows along other side, sl st in first 2 sc of row 5, work 8 sc in the ch-14 loop, triple treble in the 4th sc of open space of row 5 (the sc that are in the open part of the car window opening), note that you will need to fold back slightly the ch-14 loop and work in front of it to make the triple treble, then work 8 more sc in the rest of the ch-14 loop, sl st in sc that is nearest to the end of the ch-14 loop. End off. Weave in ends.
Wheels: (Make 2) ch 4, sl st in first chain to form into a ring.
Rnd 1: ch 1, 7 sc in ring, sl st in first sc of this round.
Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 sc in ea sc around, sl st in first sc of this round. (14 sc)
End off. Weave in ends.
Before sewing the applique to an item, pin in place. You can use either sewing thread and needle or use yarn with a large-eye needle to sew the applique to the item (according to your own preference). Use sewing thread or yarn of colors that match the car and wheels. Sew the car portion on first, then position the wheels in place and sew those on.
