How to Thread Hair Elastic Through to Make Bow Shape

The photo above shows the path for threading a hair elastic through the crocheted hair tie, to gather it into a bow shape. After threading it through as shown in the photo, fold the bottom portion of the hair elastic upward and through the center of the portion of the hair elastic that is above the hair tie, pulling it behind the very top of the hair elastic, then pull upward on it to tighten. The bow is then secured to the hair elastic, ready to be worn to decorate a hair ponytail.
