What Do You Blog About?

I blog about all things crochet using a weekly posting schedule as follows:

Mondays: feature article on a crochet artist, news from "my crochet corner"

Tuesdays: crochet book review

Wednesdays: photos of my crochet work, yarn reviews

Thursdays: one or two of the following: interview with a crocheter, inspiration lists for crocheters, yarn store review

Fridays: recommendations for other crocheters to follow on their blogs, Twitter, etc.

Saturdays: link love for the week's great crochet posts from all around the web

I also have daily features Monday through Friday on the blog which are: crochet news (such as opportunities to crochet for a cause, posts about yarnbombing, crochet spotted on celebrities, etc.), a daily quote about crochet and an end-of-the-day crochet-on-Etsy pick

People who are interested in all aspects of crochet will enjoy following the blog and those folks who are only interested in some of these things can check in on those things since I follow a regular posting schedule

  • As a blogger I think it helps to keep to a posting schedule because it gives you ideas of what to write about each day and also lets your readers know what they can expect from you.
  • Writing regularly is important whether that's daily or once a week.
  • Maintain your own voice. There is no "right" way to blog. The best thing about blogs is that everyone can have their own style. Know yours and be proud of it!
  • Read lots of crochet blogs. I read more than one hundred crochet blogs on a regular basis!

Why Do You Blog? What Motivates You? (Optional)

I started this blog in particular because I am absolutely passionate about crochet and wanted to share it with others while also creating an excuse for myself to study it each and every day!

Which Crochet Blogs Do You Read Regularly? (Optional)

Like I said, I read 100+ crochet blogs regularly (yes, there really are that many blogs devoted solely or mostly to crochet!!) I'd hate to single any out at the risk of missing some of my favorites but you can check the "link love" category as well as the blogroll in my sidebar to see lots of faves.
